Matt Evans is the sole Director of Evans Planning and has some 20 years professional experience, with a background in local government, the corporate sector and consulting. In this time Matt has gained a thorough understanding of legislative, policy and political processes, as well as targeted stakeholder communications campaigns in the complex telecommunications and planning regulatory environments. As a former elected Mayor and Councillor at the City Of Monash he gained strong liaison, negotiation and management skills.
Matt’s experience includes roles and appointments as diverse as: the former Planning Policy Adviser with the Municipal Association of Victoria, the peak body for Local Government in Victoria; former member of the Federal Government’s Development Assessment Forum (DAF); former member of the Eastern Ring Road Steering Committee lobbying for development of Melbourne’s East Link and he is a former Public Affairs Manager at Hutchison Telecommunications. Matt currently serves as a Member of the Victorian Councillor Conduct Panel, appointed under the Victorian Local Government Act, and he holds corporate membership of the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA).
